Re-use something or better still don’t buy it in the first place is the message being promoted on Friday. The swap shop is on hand to help you de-clutter or find that must have item.
Free Chilli Plants
The ever popular mini propagators will be back on campus with a chilli plant growing in it. Made from soft drink and water bottles these imaginative giveaways are always a hit. Staff and students tell tales all year about how well, or not, their chilli plant is faring. Tales of ‘hot’ dishes cooked are spread and the very keen save the seeds so they can be planted out ready for next year.
Valentine’s Paper bouquet
It is Valentine’s Day so there has to be something for the romantics amongst you and you’ll not be disappointed; an up-cycled paper flower or bouquet if you are really lucky. These stunning creations are the work of nimble fingered students.
Wear Green
By wearing Green all the students who’ve taken part in activities all week they aim to highlight the message to the staff by gathering for a mass photo.
Green drinks and Green Karaoke
Finish off the week by having a Green drink in the students Union and taking part in Green Karaoke. Is that a Sting song I hear?
