Interface was one of the first companies to publicly commit to sustainability, when it made its Mission Zero pledge in the mid-nineties.
Mission Zero represents the company’s vision to eliminate any negative impacts Interface has on the environment by 2020.
It influences every aspect of the business and inspires the company to continually push the boundaries in order to achieve its goal. Since then, Interface has developed and implemented radical innovations, taking the company beyond the realms of what was thought possible and making significant progress towards its goal.
The company recently announced a new mission, Climate Take Back, which aims to reverse the effects of climate change through new innovation, new business models and new ways of thinking about carbon.
Interface has been widely recognised for its achievements in sustainability, and was named third in the world in the 2016 GlobeScan Sustainability Leaders report. Interface is the only business to have consistently placed in the top four companies globally since the report was launched in 1998.
Radical Sustainability
Sustainability is as much about having a positive impact on communities, as it is about eliminating our negative effect on the world around us. This is why Interface is collaborating with the Zoological Society of London (ZSL) on the Net-Works® programme. Watch the video here

Louise Walker
Louise has been with Interface for over 20 years and has developed a wealth of experience through a variety of roles within the business including Customer Service, Public Sector/A&D Account Manager, Northern Regional Director and currently, Public Sector Sales Director.
In her current role, Louise has been given the opportunity to lead Interface’s journey with Government initiative BIM, which began back in 2013. She is also a driving force in the development of a comprehensive tertiary education strategy, focused on working closely with universities and colleges to improve their environmental credentials.
