Worcester Students’ Union has introduced Scrap Paper Stations at several campus printers as part of our ongoing efforts to promote sustainability and reduce waste. This initiative is designed to make it easy for everyone (students and staff) to contribute to an eco-friendlier campus while saving paper and resources. These stations are at the Woodbury Printer, Edward Elgar Reception Printer, Binyon Printer, and Pierson Printers.

A Simple Change with Big Impact
According to recent studies, the average person in the UK uses around 150kg of paper each year. While digital alternatives are on the rise, paper still plays a significant role in our daily lives. By reusing paper whenever possible, we can significantly cut down on paper consumption, reduce waste, and ultimately lower our environmental impact. Making small, conscious decisions can add up to significant change. By using scrap paper, not only are you helping save resources, but you’re also supporting our campus community in its efforts to be more sustainable. Plus, it’s an easy way to ensure we’re all doing our part—without any extra effort!
Stay green,
Worcester SU
