In April 2026, the University of Worcester launched its Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) Community of Practice (CoP). The CoP is for staff committed to embedding ESD and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into teaching and learning. It aims to build a collaborative network for staff to share ideas and information, thereby building confidence in practice.
At our first meeting, we discussed ways to understand staff’s current knowledge of the SDGs and how to further raise awareness of sustainability. This included ideas such as having members of the sustainability team come in to highlight ongoing projects and share frameworks and examples for embedding sustainability into modules and courses.
